PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT AT CINDERHILL

THE SITE IS AN ALLOCATED SITE FOR A COMPREHENSIVE MIXED USE DEVELOPMENT IN THE ADOPTED AMBER VALLEY LOCAL PLAN 2006 UNDER POLICY ER2. THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT SITE IS LOCATED OUTSIDE OF THE GREEN BELT, EXCEPT FOR THE PROPOSED ACCESS FROM STREET LANE.

THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT INCLUDES

  • Up to 1,200 new homes, incorporating a mix of house types, to include affordable housing;
  • Employment land (approximately 5ha);
  • A Village Centre (approximately 1.4ha);
  • A new Primary School (approximately 1.1ha);
  • Vehicular and pedestrian access from Derby Road, Park Hall Road and Street Lane; and
  • New areas of public open space, landscaping and surface water attenuation.

Harworth intends to submit an outline planning application for development on the site in winter 2019. When the application is submitted, Amber Valley Borough Council will consult with local people before reaching a decision on the application.
